Voting Equipment
Nebraska recently returned to the paper ballot after the problems with counting votes in the 2000 election. The state uses an optical paper scan ballot, with the aid of federal funds optical-scan machines are used in all 93 counties in the state of Nebraska. The state believes that the paper ballot is reliable and cost effective, voters find it easy to use, and the ability to conduct accurate recounts is preserved.
